Nain joined SPH in 2002 in a public engagement role, co-ordinating and supporting a variety of projects concerned with networking and multidisciplinary working. She has continued to take an active role in projects which involve patient and public engagement and qualitative research, whilst also helping to deliver a broad range of public health projects including evaluations, health needs assessments, clinical audits and service reviews.
Nain previously worked in local authority in a Social Care policy team, managing disability databases and supporting adults with learning disabilities and carers to contribute to service planning. She also developed the Council’s Children’s Disability Database, ensuring both databases were interactive tools of real value to service planners, a range of professionals, and critically, to people with disabilities and their families.
